My HormonologyWhich week are you on
in your monthly cycle?
Find out what it reveals about
what your weekend has in store:

Week 1
Day 1 (first day of period) to Day 7
Estrogen and testosterone rise
This weekend’s Hormone Horoscope: When shopping this weekend, you’ll likely gravitate toward colorful options, products that are more fun than practical and merchandise that you don’t really need, but just have to have anyway. That’s estrogen’s influence. As it rises, it pushes you to get a little silly!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Estrogen and testosterone rise till they peak
This weekend’s Hormone Horoscope: Try to get out of the house this weekend and go someplace where other folks will be, such as busy restaurant, park or party. Peaking estrogen and testosterone make you enjoy being around other people. And staying home or doing solitary activities could make you feel a tad lonely as a result.

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Progesterone rises; estrogen and testosterone drop for half the week, then rise again
This weekend’s Hormone Horoscope: This is a great weekend for catching up on reading, movies and other solitary, low-key activities. That’s because rising progesterone is mellowing you out and making you want a little alone-time.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Estrogen, testosterone and progesterone plunge
This weekend’s Hormone Horoscope: Treat yourself to a mani/pedi, new outfit, facial or other minor self-improvement today. Plunging estrogen makes you a bit self-conscious about your appearance and a small fix can make bolster your confidence right back up. Just avoid making too drastic a change, for instance, going from long hair to a pixie cut. With estrogen on the downswing, you’re likely not ready to embrace a big departure from your usual appearance and can end up hating the new look.
