Which week are you on in your monthly cycle? Find out what it reveals about what your weekend has in store:

Week 1
Day 1 (first day of period) to Day 7
Estrogen and testosterone rise
This weekend’s Hormone Horoscope: You’re getting more flirtatious with your sweetheart and/or with cuties you see at work, school, at parties and other places around town. Credit goes to rising estrogen and testosterone, which amp up your desire to make a love (or lust) connection!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Estrogen and testosterone rise till they peak
This weekend’s Hormone Horoscope: You get a confidence boost this weekend thanks to high estrogen and testosterone. So, don’t waste it! Flirt outrageously, negotiate down a price, wear something daring or launch a big project!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Progesterone rises; estrogen and testosterone drop for half the week, then rise again
This weekend’s Hormone Horoscope: You may be less likely to accept invitations to do something out of your comfort zone, say, go on a blind date or drive somewhere new. The reason? Estrogen and testosterone drop to lower levels, bringing your confidence down with them. Plus, progesterone is rising, which is a hormone that makes you want to play it safe.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Estrogen, testosterone and progesterone plunge
This weekend’s Hormone Horoscope: You may find yourself loading your shopping cart with comforting items, such as a deliciously-scented body lotion, fuzzy slippers, a DVD of your favorite chick flick or a family-size box of Crunch ‘N Munch. Researchers say it’s because as estrogen descends in Week 4, you tend to spend more on items that have the ability to counter a premenstrual bad mood.
