My HormonologyWhich week are you on
in your monthly cycle?
Find out what it reveals about
what your day has in store:

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormone horoscope: You’re absorbing more newly-learned details and remembering more old facts you picked up years ago as rising estrogen and testosterone sharpen your recall. Even better: Your memory gets sharper all the way through the end of Week 2 as these two hormones continue to climb!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormone horoscope: Thoughts are more likely to become actions today as high estrogen and testosterone make you easily excited by great ideas and motivated to get a few accomplishments under your belt!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormone horoscope: Unlike Week 2 gals, it’s easy to lose momentum today, especially if you sit down in your favorite comfy chair or start watching TV or playing video games. The problem is that rising progesterone is slowing you down and lower levels of estrogen and testosterone translate into less energy and excitement. If you have a project you need to work on, avoid your “sloth triggers” (the activities that slow you down) and rebuild momentum by reminding yourself why this task is important and what the rewards will be when you’re done!

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormone horoscope: Try to kick your critical self to the curb today. With estrogen, testosterone and progesterone plunging, you’re feeling less rosy about the world, which makes you more likely to see the faults of someone’s outfit, get aggravated with someone’s bad driving or think negatively about something someone said or did. Before letting a snarky comment fly, try to remember that everyone has faults and the other person may be going through a tough time. Showing a little empathy toward others not only makes their day better, it brightens your own by lifting your mood!
