Today’s Hormone Horoscope: Tuesday, March 2, 2010

My HormonologyWhich week are you on in your cycle?

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormone-cast: You may be inspired to play matchmaker today as rising estrogen makes you want to connect with others while rising testosterone has you thinking about romance. And, good news for your pals if you do end up pairing them with a co-worker, cousin or someone else you know. Research shows that the number one way we find our true loves is by being introduced to them through others! On the prowl yourself? Then, throw a dinner party and ask friends to bring their favorite eligible bachelors with them!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormone-cast: This is a week to experiment. Try new foods, change around the furniture, switch up the story idea for your screenplay, sign up for a dance class, say something you’d normally keep to yourself or approach nagging problems in a different way. High estrogen and testosterone are sharpening your brain skills—which has you thinking of more great ideas than usual—and they’re boosting feel-good hormones—so you have the confidence to make the change as well as the resilience to bounce back and try again if they don’t work out the first time.

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormone-cast: As sedating progesterone makes you less antsy, impulsive and distracted by Facebook than last week, you can harness this somber tone to put your nose to the grindstone and power through your to-do list today.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormone-cast: Words. They might not. Arrive. In your mouth. So easily. On this day. Today. When a hormone. Estrogen. Goes down. Plunges. Making it harder to. Reverse, no. Remit, no. Remember! The right. Word.
