Week 1
First day of period to Day 7

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: Your inner cheerleader comes out today as peaking estrogen and testosterone not only pump up your optimism about your own potential, they make you feel convinced that those around you are capable of just about anything, too. And with you egging them on, they really do have a shot!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: During the first half of your cycle, rising estrogen and testosterone have you curious about the world around you. As they reach lower levels during the second half of your cycle, your curiosity turns inward. As a result, you may question why you feel a certain way about an issue, wonder how you can better motivate yourself to reach a goal or study other aspects of your personality a little more closely.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: You may be more critical of someone’s work performance, attitude or even their hairstyle today. Plunging estrogen lowers feel-good chemicals in your brain, which makes you less likely to let someone’s foibles slide.
