Today’s Hormone Horoscope: Friday, May 28, 2010

My HormonologyWhich week are you on in your cycle?

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: Silly is the name of the game today. Rising estrogen is making you enjoy board games, arcade visits, air hockey, Bingo, petting zoo trips and anything else that brings out the kid in you. Invite others into your playful fun and your bubbly spirit will infect them, making everyone who plays with you have a great time and give you all the credit.

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: You thrive as the center of attention today. And you’re giving lots of reasons for folks to look your way: high estrogen and testosterone are boosting your confidence, verbal velocity, wit, charm and derring-do!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: You’ve got lazy written all over you this weekend. Okay, well, not lazy, but rising progesterone isn’t motivating you to sign up for any triathlons anytime soon. A better bet for you that matches your mellow progesterone mood is lounging by a pool, heading to a beach, cooling off at a movie or doing other low-key activities.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: Sudden twists and turns in your schedule can be irritating today as plunging estrogen makes it harder for you to bounce back easily from unexpected changes. This means you should take extra precautions to ensure that your weekend plans run smoothly, for instance, by buying movie tickets ahead of time and showing up early for the best seats, making a reservation at a restaurat instead of hoping they have a table open when you arrive, and totally avoiding inviting any drama queens and other unpredictable folks who have a way of spoiling every social event.
