Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormone-cast: You may feel like you’re being hit with lots of urges to go places you love, eat foods you enjoy and see friends who crack you up. That’s because rising estrogen and testosterone are pumping up with extroverted kind of energy that makes you want to do all the things that make you happiest!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormone-cast: High estrogen and testosterone are making your confidence higher than it usually is during other weeks of your cycle. In fact, at times you could be so sure of yourself that you might refuse to listen to others when they’re really in the right. So, if someone tells you that the boss isn’t in the mood to listen to a new project pitch, the deli’s pea soup tastes like feet or that investing in pyrite is a bad idea, maybe you should pay a little more attention.

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormone-cast: You may feel a little clingy today as lower levels of testosterone brings down your desire to be independent and rising progesterone boosts your urge to cuddle and connect with loved ones.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormone-cast: Try to put fun higher on your to-do list today. Research shows that taking time to do favorite hobbies and laugh is a powerful way to distract you from any premenstrual discomfort you’re experiencing.
