Today’s Daily Hormone Horoscope: Wednesday, January 4, 2011

My HormonologyWhich week are you on
in your monthy cycle?
Find out what it reveals about
what your day has in store:

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: Even though rising estrogen and testosterone boost your energy and momentum during Week 1 and Week 2, there’s still a chance you’ll fall behind during this phase of your cycle. The reason? These same rising hormones are pumping up your optimism, making you feel as though you have more time than you really do to get tasks done so you may end up procrastinating till it’s too late!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: High drama-loving estrogen and testosterone are making you have over-the-top reactions today. For instance, you may squeal loudly when spotting a killer sale, curse a blue streak at a car that cut you off or do your happy dance for all to see when you find forgotten cash in your jeans pocket.

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: You prefer the comfort of sticking to routines, following habits and keeping with tradition over forging a new path today. That’s because rising progesterone is urging you to play it safe and avoid sudden surprises.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: This week is when your inner absent-minded professor comes out: You’re a little muddled, a tad forgetful and a bit uncoordinated, leading you to bump into doorways and drop pens, cell phones and other items you’d normally have a firm grasp on. Point the blame straight at plunging estrogen and testosterone, which bring down your brain power and dexterity as they descend.
