Hormonology uses hundreds of scientific studies to show you how your hormones impact you in virtually every way every day of your monthly cycle. The Hormone Horoscope is a nifty little way of dispensing this information daily. To get started, find the week you’re on in your monthly cycle (you can use this easy guide if you’re not sure), then read your Hormone Horoscope for today!

My HormonologyWhich week are you on in your monthly cycle? Find out what it reveals about what your day has in store:

Week 1
Day 1 (first day of period) to Day 7
Estrogen and testosterone rise

Today’s Hormone Horoscope: You may have a fun trip on your mind today as rising estrogen gives you the urge to explore the world, or at least the parts with beaches and piňa coladas!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 14 (or ovulation)
Estrogen and testosterone rise till they peak

Today’s Hormone Horoscope: If you’ve got tasks that absolutely have to get done today, keep in mind that high estrogen is making you prone to getting easily distracted and lured away by something way more fun. So, silence your phone, avoid your email and hang a “do not disturb” sign on your door to keep away that one party-loving friend who just doesn’t take “no” for an answer.

Week 3
Day 15 (or the day after ovulation) to Day 22
Progesterone rises; estrogen and testosterone drop for half the week, then rise again
Today’s Hormone Horoscope: Here’s a helpful reminder: During Week 3 and most of Week 4 of your cycle, your body is burning up to 30% more fat when you’re active, report researchers from Australia’s University of Adelaide. Credit goes to the combination of estrogen and progesterone, which promotes your body’s use of fat as an energy supply, so you burn off more of it during exercise.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of your cycle
Estrogen, testosterone and progesterone plunge

Today’s Hormone Horoscope: With estrogen descending, you become more susceptible to allergies, aches and pains and flare-ups of chronic illnesses. So, stock up on the remedies or medications you use to combat these problems so you’ll be ready when they arise.
