My HormonologyWhich week are you on
in your monthy cycle?
Find out what it reveals about
what your day has in store:

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: You’ll be more apt to think of changes you can make to improve your life, relationship, school, work or other issues rather than just mope over them or hope they get better on their own. That’s because estrogen and testosterone are on the rise, and these two hormones are making you feel more positive and in control, which gives you the sense that you really can make adjustments that better your situation!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: You’re likely to let your naughty side out today, for instance, by sending risque pictures to your sweetie, playing practical jokes on friends, letting curses fly toward someone who irritated your or breaking a rule you know you really shouldn’t. Credit for your bad-girl ways goes to high estrogen and testosterone, which make you bold, daring and impulsive!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: You’re going to need to try to buck up your motivation and resolve today. While these came easy during the first two weeks of your cycle when you were propelled by rising estrogen and testosterone, these hormones are lower this week, plus you’re wading through the mud of slow-you-down progesterone. As a result, if you have a diet, exercise regimen, project or other goal that requires drive, you’re going to have to work harder to maintain it. One easy way: Remember why you started the goal to begin with. Another easy way: Think of all the folks who you can show off to once you reach your goal!

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: Regrets about your relationship, job, decisions and other life issues may pop up today. As estrogen and testosterone nosedive, they take down your confidence and optimism, which makes you doubt that the choices you made were the right ones. Try not to beat yourself up too much and remember that plunging hormones may exaggerate negative feelings, making you see your life in a more detrimental light than it really is.
