Week 1
First day of period to Day 7

Today you may want to restart them or put extra oomph into goals you’ve been working toward. Why? As estrogen and testosterone rise, they make you more motivated about achieving personal success.

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: You might be in such a hurry today due to high estrogen and testosterone that you may be tempted to rush through important details. As a result, you might miss key instructions in an email, miss a request to be picked up by your sis because listening to voicemails takes too long or you turn your hair green because you didn’t read all the hair dye precautions.

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: News reports about health and safety issues may pique your interest today. Rising progesterone is making you more cautious and concerned about getting sick or hurt or about a health issue facing someone you love.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: You may notice that some of the filters you use to stop yourself from saying certain things to people come off today as estrogen plunges, taking your patience with it. While you may need a few apologies handy if you end up insulting someone, speaking your mind can actually be a good thing.
