Week 1
First day of period to Day 7

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13

Blame goes to rising progesterone, a hormone that saps your mental energy.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: Unlike Week 1 gals, you may be prone to a woe-is-me attitude, wondering why something bad has happened or imagining how the outcome could get worse, which could fill you with fear and dread. The problem is plunging estrogen, which brings down that feel-good outlook you enjoyed so much during the first half of your cycle when this hormone was on the rise.
