Today’s Daily Hormone Horoscope: Thursday, September 23, 2010

My HormonologyWhich week are you on in your cycle?

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: Folks who want their way or need a helping hand might wanna flock around you today. That’s because you’re more open to compromise and are more likely to say “yes” to a favor thanks to rising estrogen, which makes you more flexible and altruistic.

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: You may find it difficult to concentrate today as you’re easily distracted by facebook, email, text messages, celebrity gossip, neighborhood gossip and virtually anything else. The reason? As estrogen and testosterone climb, they make you more curious about the world around you and interested in learning new details. Need to get work done? Block out all the usual baddies that steal your focus, for instance, by shutting down programs, putting cell phones on silent and adorning doors with a “do not disturb” sign.

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: Your credit cards get a breather today as impulsive spending goes down along with plunging testosterone. Unless, however, you see a cute pillow, yummy-smelling candle, perfect picture frame or another item that will spruce up your home. Then rising progesterone, which amps up your urge to feather the nest, will be prodding you to buy them.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: You may feel it’s time to right a wrong—for instance, write a complaint email, talk to a lawyer about a lawsuit or even press charges. Plunging estrogen is lowering feel-good brain chemicals, which makes it harder to ignore injustices, problems and irritations.

Well, that just makes my week! Thank you so much for your post, Lotten! I’m so happy you’re getting so much out of the Daily Hormone Horoscopes — and the male cycle, too. And thank you for buying my book! (Several times!) It’s awesome to hear when someone uses this information in their daily life. And even awesomer to know that you’re spreading the word to your sisters, your coworkers and on your blog. That is incredibly generous of you and I really appreciate it!

    Gabrielle,

My name is Lotten and I receive your email on a daily basis. Just wanted to know that I bought a copy of your book for each of my sisters because they are slave to their hormones and don’t even know it. I also keep my copy next to bed. I read my hormone horoscope daily and have been able to better cope with my moods, not that I am moody or anything. I live by this so much that when I have daily conversations I always refer to where I am in my cycle and where my estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone levels are. Lol!!

I even got my coworkers on a plan to always ask my boss my days off after 3:00pm when his testosterone levels are sinking. Yeah I read the men’s 24 hour cycle too. They think I am losing it but it always works.

Thank you so much for helping me make sense out of just about everything from the guys I’m attracted to, to my sluggish days and my competitive days. Thank you, Thank you. Oh yeah..I am going to start reposting your emails with a link to your site on my blog that will be connected to my website. Good luck on everything and I hope to interview you one day soon.

    Lotten B
