Which week are you on in your cycle?

Week 1

First day of period to Day 7

Today’s hormonescope: Rising estrogen is pushing you to make a new start and get organized. As a result, you may be inspired to start using apps, tools and calendars to get your life, work, school or travel plans together.  

Week 2

Day 8 to Day 13

Today’s hormonescope: You’re ready to jump right in whenever someone has a problem, needs help using a gadget or asks for an extra hand in the kitchen. High estrogen and testosterone are pumping up your energy, impulsiveness, brain skills and sociability, which makes you feel like a veritable superwoman who can fix just about anything for anyone!

Week 3

Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22

Today’s hormonescope: You may avoid standing up for yourself if someone says something you don’t like or outright insults you. It’s not that you’re a total pushover. Your rising progesterone and lower level of estrogen are simply making you too sapped of energy to bother wasting what little you have left on waging a war of words when it doesn’t really matter.

Week 4

Day 23 to the end of cycle

Today’s hormonescope: You’re less likely to make compromises today, for instance, watching a TV show someone else likes, changing seats to accomodate someone else or doing the driving. The reason? As estrogen plunges, it triggers brain changes that make you more picky and less patient.
