My HormonologyWhich week are you on
in your monthy cycle?
Find out what it reveals about
what your day has in store:

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: Crushes. Crushes. Crushes. That’s a large part of what your thoughts will be made up of today as rising estrogen stirs your desire to connect with a cutie you’ve been eyeing or try your hand at snagging someone totally new!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: While high estrogen and testosterone have you enjoying being in the spotlight today, these confidence-boosting hormones are also making you less concerned about how others perceive you. This is a combination that can have funny results, for instance, you may sing Christmas carols out loud on line in a store, dance down the street as you walk your dog, wear an elf hat to work or do other things other folks might consider a little zany!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: Unlike Week 2 gals, you’ll likely be more reserved today. Rising progesterone coupled with lower levels of estrogen and testosterone make you a bit self-conscious about how others perceive you. So, when a Week 2 gal grabs your arms and tries to get you to dance in the middle of a busy restaurant because her favorite ’70s disco song just started playing on the speakers, you’ll likely get red-faced and plunge into your seat rather than enjoy boogey-woogeying around tables full of spaghetti marina with her.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: I believe Internet shopping was created by a premenstrual woman who’d had it up to here with getting cut off in traffic, elbowed in line at the store, turned deaf by customers screaming into cell phones and nauseated at the smell of fellow shoppers around her. Suffice to say, plunging estrogen can make you a bit less patient with the shopping masses, so if you do have to go out for last-minute items, be sure to pack your handbag or pockets with plenty of stress-soothers, like a good book to read, snacks to munch or drink to sip, to keep your mood in check.
