Which week are you on in your cycle?
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormone-cast: You’ll likely notice new things about your neighbors, co-workers or friends, such as a new haircut, a slight stutter or a funny tic one of them has when they’re nervous. That’s because as estrogen rises, like it does today, it makes you take more of an interest in the people around you.
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormone-cast: Your inner drama queen may come out today, making you shriek at good news, whine loudly when you don’t get your way or meddle in someone else’s life just for the fun of it. Why? High estrogen and testosterone are making you vocal, impulsive and not overly concerned about making a scene.
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormone-cast: You’re feeling more sentimental today as progesterone rises and estrogen and testosterone plunge. This means your heartstrings may be more easily tugged when watching sad stories on the news, hearing that a friend of a friend of a friend lost her job or even when pulling out old plants to make way for new ones.
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormone-cast: Ask friends for their opinions when shopping for clothes, posting a new profile picture on Facebook or changing your hair. Plunging estrogen and testosterone are making you feel less confident about your appearance, which can lead to you make rash and regrettable decisions.
