Week 1
First day of period to Day 7

The reason? Rising estrogen is making you focus on how others see you, which has you wanting to make a good impression.

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: Thanks to high estrogen and testosterone, this is a day of grand gestures, which could be good or could be bad. For instance, it could mean that you thank someone profusely for a favor they did or it could mean you sign up to volunteer many hours to a cause even though you don’t really have the time to spare.

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: You’re ready to jump on the junk bandwagon as rising progesterone amps up your hunger for super-duper bad-for-you foods and saps your pep, making you happier with gossip shows, reruns and other non-challenging entertainment.

Week 4

If you have an injury or painful condition, like a bad back, migraines or sore knees, try to baby your body today and avoid pushing yourself.
