My HormonologyWhich week are you on
in your monthy cycle?
Find out what it reveals about
what your day has in store:

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: Things take a turn for the purse today. You’re spending like it’s your job even if you don’t have the money to cover the charges. Blame goes to rising testosterone, which makes you far more impulsive, and rising estrogen, which boosts optimistic feelings, making you convinced you’ll be able to come up with the cash to pay the bill somehow!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: Dare to start something new today, such as a novel, music album, clothing line, pottery business or whatever it is you love. Week 2 is about big dreams and putting them into action. That’s because you have high estrogen and testosterone energy and optimism egging you on. These cheerleading hormones don’t get any higher than they do in this week, so if you miss your opportunity to harness all that hormonal rah-rah-rah, you’ll have to wait again till next month to do it!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: If you’ve ever lost track of where you are in your cycle, here’s an easy way to figure it out: If you go from energetic, outgoing, social and sexually adventurous to tired, introverted, shy and a low libido, you’ve officially entered your Week 3. The second half of your cycle is the opposite of the first half. That’s because estrogen and testosterone are on the rise during Weeks 1 & 2 while they’re on the downswing during Weeks 3 & 4. You also have sedating, libido-quashing progesterone to deal with during the second half of your cycle, giving your energy and sex drive a double-whammy. This doesn’t mean it’s all bad news though. While the first half of your cycle is built for fun and adventure, the second half is perfect for recuperating, renewing your energy and pondering your next move.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: Keep a close eye on your keys, purse, lunch and other important items today. There’s a good chance you could misplace them as plunging estrogen and testosterone fog up your brain and put a damper on your short-term memory.
