My HormonologyWhich week are you on
in your monthy cycle?
Find out what it reveals about
what your day has in store:

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: You’re connecting more with others today, both verbally and physically. Rising estrogen is making you chatty and willing to strike up a conversation with just about anyone. And you’re closing in on people’s personal space, doling out more arm touches, back pats, hugs and kisses!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: Rising estrogen and testosterone are building up the confidence you have in your relationships and helping you overlook people’s flaws. This means that sweethearts who forget your anniversary, friends who are 30 minutes late yet again and neighbors who still haven’t returned your waffle iron get another pass. At least till Week 3 rolls around and descending hormones have you remembering once again why these people annoy the heck out of you.

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: It may have been hard to stick to a budget during the first two weeks of your cycle as rising estrogen and testosterone made you more impulsive, but as these two hormones reach lower levels and the yellow caution flag of progesterone rises this week, you’re all about watching your dollars. As a result, you may avoid keeping cash in your wallet so you don’t spend it, scour the circulars for sales or think of ways to have fun at home that don’t cost a dime.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: Low on today’s to-do list: rollercoasters, mosh pits and one-day super-sales. Plunging estrogen and testosterone are making high-flying excitement and crowded, jostley events way less attractive. You’ll be happier doing low-key activities around your schedule with fewer people around, such as shopping at a small boutique you like, having lunch with a pal and totally taking control over the remote.
