Week 1
First day of period to Day 7

But, you may be forgetting about all the other tasks you’ve already agreed to, which can lead to schedule overload and the kind of stress you probably don’t need.

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: Friends who invite you to bowl, play board games or run for club president should be on notice: High testosterone is making you more competitive than any other week of your cycle. So, you’re not going to just want to do well, you’re going to want to absolutely massacre the competition. This goes double if alcohol is involved since it boosts must-win testosterone even higher!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: Try to take the pace of your life down a notch to match the progesterone slow-down you’re experiencing. You’ll be happier by taking on fewer projects, accepting fewer invites and pacing yourself through a workout or other rigorous routine. That way, you won’t completely poop out before sundown arrives.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: This week is when your inner absent-minded professor comes out. You’re a little muddled, forgetful and uncoordinated as plunging estrogen and testosterone bring down your brain powers. But, this doesn’t mean you’ve lost major IQ points. Truth is, you can still conjure up amazing ideas, create beautiful art, write poetry, take photos and do anything else that requires imagination.
