Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: If it’s the first half your Week 1, you may still be in menstrual hut mode, where you prefer comfy clothes and home-sweet-home due to low estrogen. If it’s the second half of your Week 1, estrogen will have risen to a point where you’re trying on more colorful and form-fitting outfits and making plans, lots and lots of plans, to get out of the house and have fun!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: Your curiosity may be more easily piqued today and you may go on wild goose chases to track down old friends on Facebook, ancestors on, a new job on or a certain product you heard about at a store five towns away! That’s because high estrogen and testosterone are making treasure hunts more fun, they’re giving you the energy to do an exhaustive search and they’re making you think faster on your feet so you’re connecting facts and figures more easily, which leads you to finding more hidden gems!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: You may get hit hard with the Monday blahs as rising progesterone seems to double the start-of-the-week’s sedating effects.
