Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: This weekend, try to fit in something fun you did as a kid, such as playing miniature golf, going for a bike ride, taking a hike or bowling. Low-but-rising estrogen has you enjoying familiar activities that are guaranteed to bring a smile!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: If you don’t do something bold, daring and totally unlike you this weekend, then high estrogen and testosterone are going to have you feeling full of deep regret as you lay your head down to sleep at night. That’s because when these two hormones reach their Week 2 highs, they push you to break out of ruts and experiment. And, hey, you may even love the new activities you try so much, you end up doing them again and again!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: Rising progesterone and lower levels of estrogen and testosterone tire you out and slow you down. But, that’s a good thing, since you can use this weekend to hunker down and replenish your physical and mental reserves with mellow activities, such as going to a farmer’s market, reading a book in the park or scrapbooking.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: Treat yourself like you’d treat a friend visiting from out of town: buy your favorite cookies, take yourself shopping and totally give yourself complete control over the remote. With estrogen taking a steep dive, you’re more emotionally and physically sensitive than any other week of your cycle, and treating yourself well helps counter any negative influences these descending hormones may have!
