First day of period to Day 7

You may even have a complete change of heart about folks you were sure you kicked out of your life for good.
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: Careful! You’re more likely to overindulge in alcohol, food, cigarettes and anything else that gives you pleasure, but could be bad for you. The reason? As estrogen climbs, it gives your brain a bigger buzz from fun yet naughty stuff, so once you start partaking, it can be hard to stop.
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: It might be difficult to donate, recycle or throw away items you don’t need, but which have sentimental value. Why? As progesterone rises, it brings out your emotional side, making you cherish the memories of each stuffed toy, old greeting card and t-shirt you own.
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: Try to avoid or limit your time in places that have lots of flashing movement, are brightly lit, crowded, loud and/or have strong scents, like a mall, casino or virtually anywhere in NYC. Plunging estrogen makes you more sensitive to light, noise and smells, which can end up irritating you.
