Today’s Daily Hormone Horoscope: Friday, July 16, 2010

My HormonologyWhich week are you on in your cycle?

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: This weekend, low-but-rising estrogen has you wanting to recreate the kind of fun you had as a kid in summer. Okay, maybe not by making mud pies and playing with worms. But, you will be drawn to boardwalks, ice cream shops, barbecues and other familiar amusements.

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: High estrogen and testosterone have you craving summer excitement this weekend. So, take time to ride a rollercoaster, head to a dance club, flirt at a carnival or do anything else that gives you a thrill!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: The lazy, hazy days of summer were made for rising progesterone gals. You’re in the mood to hang out by the pool, lay out on the beach, chill in a movie theater, graze at your favorite comfort food cafe or do other activities that require little energy and are within arm’s reach of many delicious snacks and beverages.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: Week 4 gals can ward off a premenstrual bad mood triggered by plunging estrogen and testosterone by buying yourself a treat at one of the many farmer’s markets, craft fairs, art shows and summer sales going on this weekend!
