Today’s Daily Hormone Horoscope: Friday, July 1, 2011

My HormonologyWhich week are you on
in your monthy cycle?
Find out what it reveals about
what your day has in store:

Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: Your challenge today is staying focused on work and chores that definitely have to be completed. That’s because rising estrogen and testosterone are making you easily distracted by way more fun stuff, like surfing the ‘net, going on road trips and visiting pals.

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: Careful! You’re more likely to throw caution to the wind and take more risks with your safety, for instance, by speeding as you drive, running when you should walk or speaking your mind to a professional female boxer. The reason for your derring-do? High testosterone, which amps up your confidence and impulsiveness, and high estrogen, which makes you think everything will turn out alright in the end.

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: As rising progesterone brings out your nurturing side, you may be more inclined to donate to your favorite causes, post prayer requests for a friend on your facebook page or do a favor out of the blue for someone who could use a helping hand.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: Pick out your most comfortable outfit today—skip the pants that pinch, the shoes that bind and the bra with that annoying underwire that pokes you in the rib. Plunging estrogen is making you more sensitive to physical pain, so those ouch-inducers will be more irritating than during the other weeks in your cycle!
