Week 1
First day of period to Day 7
Today’s hormonescope: Folks who have problems should come to you today. Rising estrogen and testosterone are making you confident you can fix just about anything, from a broken zipper to a busted love life. Thing is, these hormones are sharpening your brain skills and making you think faster on your feet, so you really can come up with more clever solutions to solve sticky issues!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Today’s hormonescope: You could end up on Santa’s naughty list this weekend if you’re not careful! That’s because high estrogen and testosterone are making you bold, daring and impulsive, a perfect combination for imbibing too much and ending up pulling pranks, spilling the beans and ending up in a notorious “Oops!” photo gallery like this!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Today’s hormonescope: You may feel a tad guilty about all the cookies, pie, cake, chips, donuts and other goodies that you treat yourself to this weekend. On other weeks of your cycle, it’s a bit easier to summon the willpower to turn down high-calorie munchies and second, third and fourth servings. Not so on Week 3 when rising progesterone is amping up cravings and pushing you to consume more calories. The good news? This hormone is also prompting your body to burn up to 30% more fat when you exercise, so if you hit the gym, play Wii Fit or run up and down the stairs a lot, you could melt those extra helpings right off!

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Today’s hormonescope: Your idea of  great weekend is one averting crowds, traffic, family members who were clearly put on this Earth just to annoy you and other irritations you could more easily overlook on other weeks of your cycle when plunging estrogen isn’t making you so sensitive to them. While you don’t need to cocoon yourself in your bedroom till Week 1 arrives, you may want to stick to going to places that you know won’t work your last nerve, like the movies, a favorite restaurant or over to your best bud’s house.
