My HormonologyWhich week are you on
in your monthly cycle?
Find out what it reveals about
what your day has in store:

Week 1
Day 1 (first day of period) to Day 7
Estrogen and testosterone rise

Today’s Hormone Horoscope: You may find yourself reading more gossip blogs, reading newspapers, flipping to Facebook and filling up on news other ways today. Why? As estrogen rises, is piques your interest about the outside world and makes you want to learn more and more!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 13
Estrogen and testosterone rise till they peak

Today’s Hormone Horoscope: Go on a hot date, attend a big party or do another exciting social event today. But, whatever you do, don’t stay home alone with some leftover pizza and re-runs! High estrogen and testosterone are promising you’ll have a great time when you socialize, try something new and meet unfamiliar folks. Even if things don’t turn out well (for instance, the date flops or the party is too loud and crowded), spiking hormones are going to make you glad that at least you tried!

Week 3
Day 14 (or ovulation) to Day 22
Progesterone rises; estrogen and testosterone drop for half the week, then rise again

Today’s Hormone Horoscope: Don’t pay too much attention to the bathroom scale today. Rising progesterone is triggering bloating and constipation, which can temporarily add one or two pounds. Once Week 1 rolls around and progesterone disappears, you’ll probably notice this extra weight disappears, too.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of your cycle
Estrogen, testosterone and progesterone plunge

Today’s Hormone Horoscope: Friends should have a backup plan ready tonight. That’s because you may suddenly drop your plans to hang out with them. The problem is plunging estrogen and testosterone, which can cause aches and pains and make you feel more like cuddling up to a pint of Chunky Monkey and the remote on the couch than hitting the town with pals.
