redBefore you read on to today’s Hormonology Tip, take a look down at the clothes you’re wearing, then think about where you are right now in your monthly cycle. I’ll wait.

Did you do it?

Okay, so if you’re in Week 2 of your cycle (the week leading up to and including ovulation), are you wearing red or reddish clothing or accents? Chances are good that you are!

Why? There are two reasons, research shows: You subconsciously use red as a way to signal that you’re fertile to potential or current mates. And, red makes you appear more attractive.

Whether or not you’re in your Week 2 right now, I’ll be you’ll bet paying a lot closer attention to what you wear every time your Week 2 rolls around!
