Last week, I shared a study that showed how a woman can use the dance floor to attract a mate during Week 2 of her cycle. Now new research in the American Journal of Human Biology reveals that the dance floor is also the place to look if you’re seeking a physically strong guy. In the study, volunteers who watched videos of men dancing to a drum beat predicted that the guys with the best moves also had the most upper body strength—and they were right! As the researchers explain, men send signals about their physical prowess through subtle body movements. So, if you’re seeking a powerhouse of a potential mate or checking the credentials of a good mover, consider asking a guy to dance first!
