13 May Sip your way to a better mood
There’s already lots to love about chamomile tea: It’s proven to ease the pain of menstrual cramps in your Week 1 and help you get better sleep and reduce anxiety in your premenstrual Week 4.
But, that’s not all it can do. A 2012 study from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine reveals one more benefit to sipping this sweet-tasting brew: It contains compounds that boost your mood, helping you climb out of a premenstrual funk and feel cheerier.
For best results, steep one teabag or one teaspoon of dried chamomile for 10 minutes in water that has boiled, but been allowed to sit for one minute. Drink up to three cups daily.
