07 Sep Nix anxiety to be happier all cycle long
If you struggle with anxiety issues, then you’ve probably already heard about various study-proven ways to tame it, such as yoga, meditation, exercise, listening to soothing music and taking slow, deep breaths.
Now here’s one good reason to continue trying these and other methods to keep anxiety under control:
A new study in the journal Psychiatry Research shows that women with lower levels of anxiety experience fewer negative hormone-related symptoms throughout their entire cycle (such as discomfort, irritability, the blues, excitability and worry) than those with higher levels of anxiety.
The researchers theorize that feeling calm and centered makes you less sensitive to the ups and downs of your hormones, so they produce fewer and less intense side effects.
