Hormonology uses hundreds of scientific studies to show you how your hormones impact you in virtually every way every day of your monthly cycle. The Hormone Horoscope is a nifty little way of dispensing this information daily. My HormonologyWhich week are you on in your monthly cycle? Find out what it reveals about what your day has in store:

Week 1
Day 1 (first day of period) to Day 7
Estrogen rises
Today’s Hormone Horoscope: As your Week 1 goes on, you’ll likely notice that you’re turning the radio volume up a notch (or two or five), you’re driving or biking faster and you’re enjoying bolder flavors of food. That’s rising estrogen’s influence. The higher it climbs, the more it revs your energy, excitement and derring-do, making you prefer your experiences on the intense side. And, watch out world, because this desire for intensity increases all the way through the end of Week 2!

Week 2
Day 8 to Day 14 or ovulation (here’s how to tell when you’re ovulating)
Estrogen and testosterone rise till they peak
Today’s Hormone Horoscope: During your Week 2, estrogen climbs to a level that encourages you to let out your inner flirt. And if you don’t do so willingly, estrogen will be more than happy to take over and force you to be more flirtatious! That’s because research shows this hormone is pushing you to opt for an outfit that reveals more of your figure and adorn yourself with makeup, jewelry and other beautifying accessories designed to attract attention. Plus, it’s subtly changing the way you walk and talk so that you’re moving and sounding more feminine and attractive. And, to top it all off, it’s prompting your body to churn out pheromones in your sweat that attract cuties from miles around.

Week 3
Day 15 (or the day after ovulation) to Day 22
Progesterone rises; estrogen and testosterone drop for half the week, then estrogen rises again
Today’s Hormone Horoscope: Unlike Week 1 and Week 2 gals, you’ll likely be turning down the radio volume to less ear-shattering decibels, slowing down a tad as you drive or bike and picking foods with mellower flavors. That’s because the combination of lower levels of estrogen and testosterone with rising progesterone has you preferring a life of less intensity that’s a bit more calm, safe and predictable.

Week 4
Day 23 to the end of cycle
Estrogen and progesterone plunge
Today’s Hormone Horoscope: Careful of reading too much into what someone says or does. Plunging estrogen is making you a tad skeptical, cynical and on guard, so you’re prone to looking for a hidden agenda or double meaning when interacting with others.
